The first settlers
}?>
Through the exhibit objects, the visitor can travel through time and learn about life in prehistory, Iberian and Roman times, and also understand the landscape transformation the massif has suffered as a result of a long process of man-environment interaction.
With the arrival of the Middle Ages, El Montseny experienced an intense process of social, economical transformations which finally defined feudalism, a new organization model which had in Montsoriu castle an viscounts of Cabrera a paradigmatic example.
The room devoted to Montsoriu permits the visitor to have an overlook to the best gothic castle in Catalonia, thanks to the central castle model representing the fortress in the fourteenth century and a good selection of artefacts coming from the archaeological excavations.
The audiovisual Montsoriu Castle chronicles the history of this great piece of the Catalan heritage.
