At the end of nineteenth and early twentieth century the industrialization process caused the last main change affecting the forms of living in El Montseny with economic, social, and even cultural transformations such us those of leisure.
The museum second floor chronicles these changes, shows the first industries and its relationship with the environment, illustrated with the Arbucies case. In this industrialization model, which had a strong autochthon nature and a craftsmanship roots, the museum calls attention to the coachbuilding, wooden turnery and textile industry.
These fist industrial activities had a strong relationship with the environment, being for the use of wood as a raw material, being for the fundamental role played by water as energy source.
